Stable Cell Line Services

Our Stable Cell Line Service is to help the clients create custom cell lines stably expressing foreign proteins which serve many purposes such as labeling cells to visualize their location or insertion of a gene of interest.
The generation of cell lines expressing labels such as luciferase is necessary for live tracking of tumor cells in vivo or to perform proliferation studies via luciferase quantification. Based on extensive hands-on experience in the genetic generation of stable cell lines, RedyBio uses these approaches for stable cell line generation:
  • Lipid transfection or electroporation methods to deliver transgenes and select stable clone lines.
  • Viral transduction (Lentivirus or retrovirus) allows for highly efficient genetic manipulation, not only of cell lines but also of primary cells and non-dividing cells.
