A549/Firefly Luciferase Cell Line

Description: A549, a human lung carcinoma cell line, has been widely used in cancer research and drug development in vitro and in vivo. A549/firefly luciferase stable cells express firefly luciferase.

Quantity: Two vials of frozen cells (2×106 per vial)

Stability: Stable in culture over a minimum of 10 passages

Application: Drug screening, biological assays and in vivo study

Freezing Medium: 70% F12/K+20% FBS+10% DMSO

Propagation Medium: F12/K+10%FBS

Morphology: Epithelial-like

Subculture: Split saturated culture 1:4-1:9 every 3 days

Incubation: 37 °C with 5% CO2

Storage: Liquid nitrogen immediately upon receiving

Doubling Time: Approximately 22 hours

Mycoplasma Status: Negative
